Lower Court Street and Washington Street Reconstruction

Lower Court Street and Washington Street are found within one of the oldest neighborhoods in New Hampshire dating back to the 1600s. Located in the south end of Portsmouth to the west of Prescott Park, these well-known historic streets are home to numerous Strawberry Banke properties, residences, and institutions. The most notable challenges for this project were striking a balance between pedestrian accessibility and vehicular needs in the context of existing historic structures.
