Wriston Quadrangle Restoration
-Brown University, Providence, RI

Wriston quad is a dramatic node at Brown University's east side campus. Encapsulated in one city block, the quad contains on its perimeter dormitories, fraternities, and a dining hall. Two plazas anchor the quad and create the point of origin for the majority of foot traffic in the quad. Access to buildings along this primary pedestrian route was designed to blend with the landscape and building architecture. Notable elements incorporated into the design include kiosks, permeable pavements, bicycle racks, custom recycling receptacles, seat walls, and lighting.
